There is evidence that many plastics, glass, and other metals will pollute your food with things you would never eat. The recent stainless steel cookware (not years old) shows no evidence of polluting. Buy a new set of s/s flatware, cookware, and these cannisters for keeping herbs and spices safely! And, they're so nice, they sit on my countertop instead of a cabinet.

I am very happy with these storage containers. Having just found a store where I can get fresh spices and herbs, the containers give me a secure place to store them. I bring the spices home in plastic packets and transfer them to the cans for storage.
