This 5-gallon Type-1 gas can is the easy-to-use and economical choice for transporting flammables. The metal gas can is designed with a single spout for filling and pouring, with a self-closing, leak proof lid to control vapors and prevent spills. The safety gas can also features an ergonomic design with a rounded full-fisted handle for comfortable carrying and gravity-assisted pouring. The steel gas can is also equipped with an FM-tested, full length, dual-density flame arrester that reliably dissipates heat to stop flashback ignition. A positive pressure relief mechanism on the portable gas can automatically vents between 3 and 5 psig to protect against rupture or explosion.
Heavy-duty, high-grade coated, lead-free, all steel construction features special reinforcing ribs to strengthen sidewalls for extra "bumper guard" protection. Choose between purchasing just the 5 gal gas can (#108985) or the gas can with attachable funnel (#108984). The attachable funnel (included with #108984) features a wide mouth to prevent splashes and is made of durable 100% polypropylene to resist chemicals. Complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.106 and NFPA Code 30 requirements. FM approved; UL and ULC listed. Accepted container under CARB.
