FYI- the use to which these blocks are being put is to elevate only the head of the bed to assist in treating gastroesophageal reflux (GERD). In this case we use two blocks on each side held together by long bolts which fit through the holes conveniently supplied in the center of the blocks. The treatment is quite beneficial for this condition. WGrimes

We used a total of 6 of these for our king-sized bed. Looks very nice (when you lift bed-skirt) and very compatable with our wood floors. You can get these in plastic in many stores, but they are quite ugly. These are beautiful and we love them. They add lots of space for us to store things!
