We purchased this bin for charcoal. We have a large deck and we didnt want to have to make a trip to the garage for charcoal so we put the coals inside. It rained and the container leaked. We thought "It must have been something we did "so we tried again, making extra sure we closed all the lids tightly. It still leaks. It would have been a super container for bird feed or charcoal or anything but, it does indeed leak.

I bought this to store the big (20 lbs.) bags of dry pet food. The advantages are the pour spout for refilling the pet food dispenser and the handle & wheels to whisk it back into hiding. (You can also but the food bag in, but I didn't.) I've decided to order the transparent/translucent version for pet food. I'm going to use this one for charcoal to keep from lugging those bags around, to keep the contents of all the little bags in one place and to keep the charcoal drier in unfinished basement storage.

I love this container for storing birdseed. IT holds a large (40lb+) bag and keeps out mice and other pests. The spout really aids in transfer of the seed with no spills!!
