Favourite Organising Tools #2 - Plastic Display Folders

By Marcia Francois

studyOr as we call them here in South Africa - FLIPFILES

So what are flipfiles?

Handy clear plastic files, neatly bound in book format. Slim and light for easy handling, storage and carrying. Anti-static-allows quick insertion and withdrawal of documents. Will not lift ink from photocopies.
Outer-cover insert replaceable with users own title page.

Why I love them

  1. You can have lots of categories
  2. They take up very little space
  3. They come in 10-page, 20-page and 30-page
  4. They are perfect for the lazy organiser - no punching, you just slip the pages inside the plastic sleeves.

My uses

Anyone know where to find these in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA? or what they are called in US?

From Wendy, March 11 2008

I was just searching on Staples.com and I *think* they're called clear report covers.

Hi Deanna & Wendy

Thanks for commenting!

This is from my friend, Suzanne’s blog:

“For those of you in the States, you can order these through Staples. I picked mine up in the section where the Presentation Folders are.”

Suzanne's blog is at http://suzannesfavs.blogspot.com

Kind regards

Here in Canada we call them "clear presentation books" and can be found in business supply stores like Staples and also in some of the dollar / discount stores. I personally like the 20 page books

Opps,
I was also going to add. I find them useful for my in-progress workshop projects at work. Has saved my work from coffee stains numerous times.

For personal use, I carry one in my briefcase for the articles I read while commuting ie. torn out magazine articles, any odds 'n ends of reading material.
