Product of the Week: Breakfast Carts!
By
Color AND Space Efficiency, all in one piece!
Breakfast carts are not just for tiny homes. These nifty, space saving carts can be used for a multitude of purposes in homes, both large and small.
In larger houses, where a formal dining room is already available, a breakfast cart can be used in the kitchen as a gathering place for the family – a great place for kids to do their homework, parents to pay bills and singles to enjoy a quick meal.
In apartments, condos and smaller houses, a breakfast cart can do double duty in the kitchen as a prep area and eating area, and provides a great buffet and serving table at dinner parties.
The wooden block is perfect for food prep, and also for eating. Pull out the drop leaf at mealtime, and then stow it away when you are finished for space-efficiency. The wooden stools also fit right inside the unit, underneath the tabletop, so that you don’t have to take up anymore floor space in the kitchen!
This particular Drop Leaf Breakfast Cart is very affordable, but what really caught my eye were the colors. We’ve all seen these in natural wood colors, but these have updated colors that include a deep cranberry red and hunter green, a great way to add a splash of color to a dull kitchen decor!
Tips for Use:
• Decoration: Hang a pretty towel on the towel bar, and decorate the top with your favorite vases or teapots.
• There are two ways to position this cart.
~First, away from the wall. Since there are drawers on the long side of this cart, and the drop leaf on the other, it’s best not to put the drawers or the drop leaf against the wall, unless you can do without one or the other.
~Second, against the wall. There is really only one side that has no function, and it’s one of the short sides. This would look great and still provide plenty of function if you have a rather bare wall.
