Small Space Organizing: Converting A Closet

By Eva Wallace

office-closetI currently live in a newer house, and it most definitely has its benefits. But I do miss my days of living in an older, arts and crafts period home with all of its lovely woodwork and creative built-ins.

One wall in our living room had built-in bookcases straddling a closet with French glass doors lined with lace curtains which we used as a beautiful hide-away for our entertainment center.

HGTV has a great article on remaking your closet space into something else altogether, and some of their ideas are reminiscent of the arts and crafts style.

I especially love the one with the green and yellow wallpaper and the little white desk in it. And how about the pink walls behind the washer and dryer – love them!! And the last picture – who is fortunate enough to have a big beautiful window in their closet?

I love the convert a closet idea. Right now I don't think I have a closet I can do/spare for that, but it does give me an idea to create one. :-) Great idea.
