This Bench is crafted from solid hardwood, and features a lower shelf. This lower shelf is great place to set extra shoes (if you're using this bench in your entryway), or a place to store extra blankets and bedding (if you're using this bench at the foot of your bed). This also makes a great window seat! These benches arrive unfinished, so you can stain or paint them any color you wish!  Height between seat and shelf in the center is 9 5/8".
