This gadget seems to work as advertised....holding 2 twin beds together to form a "king" size bed. It took 2 of us to put it on & adjust the strap. Then we made up the bed with king-size mattress pad, sheets & blankets. Voila! No more sinking in the center or beds scooting apart. Just hope the plastic snap-in closure on the strap holds up & doesn't give way. Since this is in a vacation home, it has only been tested a few nights so far.

The twin beds became a king very easily with the use of the Create-a-King. I also recommend the use of a mattress cover. The bed truly had the feel of a king! Great night sleep!

We ended up having to put the straps around the box springs, which messes up the sheets. Overall, it is a good product, but it shifts after about a week so that you really feel the crack in between the beds (but they don't separate, and you don't fall through). I think that if you had a mattress cover over the whole bed, it would work much better... but a king size mattress pad is expensive.

Shopper: Is there something that actually goes into the gap between the mattresses?

Kristi D: The pad that goes in the middle is probably half an inch or so. It lays on top, but it's thick enough you don't feel the gap when you lay on it. The straps that go around hold it in place really well if you have them pulled tight enough. I've tried another product that was more of a wedge that went between the beds, but without the straps it didn't perform as well as this product. We've been very happy with this one. We don't use it every night, however, only when we have renters who want to put the twin beds together. I've slept on it for 7 nights in a row with no issues though.

Nina G: The sheepskin goes over the gap. You wouldn't want anything down in there, it would only make the gap bigger. This system works very well in our bed and breakfast where we need flexibility. I do recommend it.

Bruce M: Used this product on twin beds in my guest room over a year ago. Yes, there is a pad that covers the gap between the two mattresses and no, not one of my guests were aware that this was not a single mattress. Product works as advertised - not like others that I've heard don't keep the mattresses from slipping away from each other. Except for when the sheets are removed for laundering, I think I'd forget that it isn't one mattress.

Gabe m: Yes there is a narrow pad that gets anchored on top of the crack between the two mattresses. However the pad itself is not that comfortable so I recommend getting a full size mattress topper to cover everything.

Lynn S: You can see from the picture the piece that covers the gap. There is a small piece that goes in between. This is not a perfect solution, but it did work as well as you could ask it to. One option is to put the split across instead of up and down. Keeps you from rolling to the middle.
