Comments about Stacks and Stacks Deluxe Hoist System: The device is very sturdy, easy to install, directions could be better for distance between brackets. The hanger mechanism is a one size fits all, it would be nice to have a flatter assembly which would allow for positioning the kayak closer to the ceiling (you lose about 6 inches with the bracket the way its designed now), but its very handy for storing something that's only used about 6 months a year Comments about Stacks and Stacks Deluxe Hoist System: I needed a way to store my bike without having it sit on the floor. This works pretty well but you have to be methodical when hoisting it up. I would buy it again though because it serves its purpose at a reasonable cost. Comments about Stacks and Stacks Deluxe Hoist System: I used it to hang my small raft in my two car garage, and would buy it again for this application. For these types of hanging systems, this one has one of the highest capacities (i.e., greater than 50 lbs or a bike). Since I am hanging my raft in a bay with no car, clearance was not an issue.
