Shopper: How sturdy is it and does it fold up compactly? My daughter doesn't have a car, has to carry her groceries a mile or more, and needs a cart that doesn't bend or fall apart, yet is easy to fold and carry when empty.
Edie A: The cart folds up very compact but is not as sturdy as we would like. Husband changed wheels and we only use it to get from car to front door.
We are not sure how taking it 1 mile.
Jimmy B: Jennifer, I bought the cart in Oct. to carry my groceries in. I am disabled and can't drive, the cart is great for me. The cart is sturdy and folds up easy and has a clip to hold it folded while walking to the store. I don't know how far it is to the store, but it takes me about 8 min. to walk there.

I bought this cart and I can definitely say it is sturdy. I don't have a car either and I use it to carry groceries about 3/4 of a mile on a weekly basis through all kinds of weather in Chicago and it has held up nicely. It does fold compactly. There is a little clip on one side of the cart so that when you fold the cart, you can clip the two sides together. Easy to unclip. I will say, this is a large cart and a bit heavy. It was perfect for me and I'm quite small.

JANE A: Bought this cart for my mother. She absolutely loves it. She uses the cart to transfer her groceries from her car to her kitchen. She doesn't carry her groceries very far- just from the front of her condo to her back door which is about 20 ft. It does fold up compactly & is sturdy enough. Can't answer the question about how sturdy it would be carrying groceries for a mile or more.
DORENE K: I gave it away for a present. She loves it I know she uses hers for groceries and clothes shopping. When I tried it out before didn't have a problem folding and was light to use.

I bought it for my daughter who lives in the city and has to go quite a distance for groceries, but it is strong enough to carry heavier items as well. Yes it folds completely flat.
