The Dependa-Bar Movable Grab Bar can be used inside the shower stall or next to the toilet, giving you the safest method to stand and sit.  This bathroom safety bar is made of stainless steel and mounts securely to structural studs behind the bathtub wall of any construction, including tile, fiberglass or plastic.  The pivot bath rail has a 1.25" grip diameter and locks every 45 degrees (five locking positions).  The horizontal bar is height adjustable at the time of installation, typically mounted 4" from the top of the bathtub surface.  Holds up to 325 lbs (147 kg).  The bottom grab bar can be mounted for either left or right side applications. ADA Compliant:  Fixed horizontal grab bar has 1.50" clearance from the wall, and when the swiveling bar is locked against the wall, it is aligned with the fixed grab bar.
