I've had both the plastic drawer organizers and these. I prefer the plastic drawer organizer. These are great for delicates that you may not want in plastic (although I've never had a problem with the plastic organizers with my delicates). This organizer also has a better look to it because it isn't plastic.

When I say it is flimsy, it doesn't fall over or anything like that, the segments will expand if overstuffed and not look that great. The whole thing will shake slightly if overstuffing, but I've never had a problem with it coming apart. (My 8 year old son is currently using them in two drawers and they are holding up just fine.)

All in all, I think it is a preference thing. What look do you like and what items are you using this for.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Really flimsy, didn't hold much. The spaces were too small but if you made them bigger they didn't stay very well. I was not impressed. The soft materials they were made with was nice but that's about it.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
