Inherited one (assembled, antique brass finish) from "choosy-shopper" relative about 5 yrs ago. Fits snuggly into corner by desk-top computer, looks great, lights keyboard area perfectly with adjustable gooseneck fixture and rest of room as desired with larger fixture above. Switches/dimmers work flawlessly and entire lamp looks and feels solid and well constructed. My sister admired it and I'm passing it along to her for use as a reading light by her easy chair. I've used and enjoyed this one so much that I'm buying another just like it to replace the one I know my sister will continue enjoying at her home.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
