I had bought this unit to hold my sword collection, and with a little planning, it ended up perfect. It didn't come with any instructions, but it was easy to put together. Worth every penny!

It did not come with directions. My husband had to find them on line. That was time consuming. Some of the shelves are not completely flat; but, what can you expect from mother nature. I am happy I purchased it. It is beautiful and unique. It completes my child's tropical bedroom. It holds my child's books, baskets of clothes and toys... everything that was scattered in the room is now on the shelves. Well worth the money!!!!!

We use this in our playroom. It works great because we use baskets. I dont believe it would not be a good shelving unit for books. It is also not very stable. It could tip very easily. But we fixed that easily by attaching it to the studs in the wall. Now, it is very sturdy and works great for our purpose.
I dont think it is nice enough for a more formal room like a family room or bedroom.
For the price, it is a great storage item! We love it and so do the kids!

We use the product in our kids playroom to store the large amount of toys they have.
We really like the look of the bamboo, and they were a perfect size for the room.
The product was really easy to assemble, although there were no assembly instructions included with the unit.
Due to the nature of bamboo, there are a lot of cracks and splits, and some of the pegs that support the shelves fall out and need to be glued back in place.
I had to make a trip to the hardware store to replace some of the nuts/bolts used in the assembly process because they were either missing or bent.

I wanted a large, attractive-yet-sturdy shelving unit with a natural look, and one that was also very portable (looking ahead to a future move). I had also been thinking "bamboo". This unit meets all these criteria PLUS it was very easy to assemble. I am very pleased with it!
