I have used this product for two months. It does a good job of staying fog free and would say it is scratch resistant based on the number of times it has fallen off shower tile wall.

I wanted to return mirror in first few days because suction would not hold even after I thoroughly cleaned and rinsed wall and suction cup. Now it may stay on the tile (which is slightly textured) for days or a couple of weeks at a time.

For precaution, I take mirror off suction cup holder, drain, and fortunately it rests right on soap rack. Despite not staying up for very long, it is better than other shower mirrors in same price range, because it really does a pretty good job of staying fog free.

After having tried al manner of coated shower mirrors, I found this one recommended on an Internet site. But it was very hard to find. Thankfully, S&S carries it. The design is simple but elegant. Works great every time.
