Make life easier with the Gutter Screen! These unique filters reduce the need to clean out the gutters during the wet months.
Keep your gutters clean and free of debris with these flexible gutter screens. This set of five mesh gutter covers keeps out debris including tiny maple "helicopters" and pine needles to maximize water flow. The gutter filter slides under shingles and snaps securely into the front gutter lip to prevent expensive water-related damage. Made of UV-stabilized, vinyl-coated fiberglass mesh on vinyl screen. Stays flat and won't sag. Works with all 4" and 5" metal gutters, and most vinyl gutters (providing they have a horizontal lip along the outer edge). Cut to size; no screws or drilling required. Set will cover about 14 feet of gutter. Lip measures 1/2" wide.REVIEW SNAPSHOT®

Not perfect, but better than most other gutter solutions

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Gutter Screen - Set of 5 by L.B. Plastics, Inc.:
SUMMARY: Buy this product to eliminate gutter cleaning -- it is one of the only solutions that works (almost) as advertised. Buy one set more than you need. EVALUATION: I looked at a wide variety of "gutter guards" before investing in these gutter screens. I've investigated various technologies such as "gutter helmet", foam inserts, perferated pipe inserts, conventional plastic or metal mesh screens typically found in a roll form, and others. I also saw a version of the subject gutter screens at a home improvement show (only available as a contractor-install) solution. Because I have a variety of tall trees in close proximity to the roof, I have climbed up on the roof 5-6 times each year with a leaf blower to clear the roof AND gutters of debris, and was looking for a way to reduce the frequency of this activity. For the most part, these screens do the trick -- the overwhelming majority of pine, fir, and oak leaves which fall on my roof end up being washed off (via rain) or blown off (via wind) the roof -- the "downside" being my decks and walkways are a bit messier since the gutters no longer retain the leaves - but it's much easier using a leaf blower in these instances. The only MINOR issue is that a limited number of pine and fir needles do tend to stick in the mesh, but it is a very small, and acceptable amount. Also, I do get a bit of drip, primarily from areas where two gutter guards butt up against each other, and the junction of some roof valleys, where debris tends to accumulate and runoff is greater. It should also be noted that these units will NOT snap in place for some gutter profiles (they need an internal gutter edge that faces inward, not down or outward), but will work well anyway. While my gutters had an incompatible profile which precluded "snap in" installation, they appear to stay in place even when only secured by tucking them underneath the (composition roof) shingles. And installation was quick, only requiring the use of kitchen shears (or other robust scissors) to trim ends and corners (the latter of which I overlapped). Overall, I am glad I bought these (it took 11 sets to cover all my gutters), and I highly recommend them. When you order, buy an extra set to account for trimming as well as spares for repairs (although I doubt you'll need to repair anything except possible mesh damage during installation). You'll wonder what to do with the time (or money) you used to spend cleaning gutters several tiimes a year :)

Gutter Screen Install.

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Gutter Screen - Set of 5 by L.B. Plastics, Inc.:
They were not as easy to install as they claim to be. This may be because I have an older home. I had to cut notches in the lip(underside only) where the bolts that attached the gutters to the house got in the way of the installation. Easier said than done, from the top of a ladder.
