The infrared sensor senses your hand or debris from 6 inches away and automatically opens! The metal trash can then remains open for 3 seconds before closing tightly. Hands-free operation helps decrease the spread of germs, and the threat of cross-contamination. This trash can is also easy to clean, as there is no inner liner which requires removal for cleaning. This infrared trash can is constructed of sparkling stainless steel, and is powered by 4 D batteries (batteries not included). Uses standard 13 gallon bags.
