Comments about Jobar International Instant Screen Door - Mounts with Velcro:

This product does what it's supposed to for the most part, esp. for the price. I live in a 2nd story apartment so I don't have a safety issue as far as keeping it closed or locked. I use it for my balcony door. The velcro that comes with it doesn't stay put as well as it should, but I lean something heavy against it so it pretty much stays in place. All in all, much more economical than buying a heavy-duty door that requires tools and hinges, esp. for apartment living where most apartments won't let you install anything permanent.

Comments about Jobar International Instant Screen Door - Mounts with Velcro:

I was very impressed with the quality of the door as far as durability and appearance. I did not like that it was folded in half because it made it difficult to install because screen would not stay upright. Once installed it actually looked pretty nice until a couple of days later when it fell off the velcro. I haven't been able to get it to stay up since? I will eventually have to nail it down. I'm not too upset though. It could of just been the heat?

This was a waste of time and money. Very poorly consructed, the concept is impossible to execute adequately. Only reason I did not return it was the hassle of packaging was more trouble than it was worth.

      Suggestion

      Q & A

      Questions about this item:
Shopper: Do cats get out of it easily what about children?
Carl J: Tiff, sorry to say, these "Instant Screen Doors" we're such an enormous disappointment, we sent them back immediately. They didn't work at all. So, pets & kids, absolutely would get out.
Virginia H: A crafty cat could get out if you didn't secure it. To be honest I was using it on a sliding glass door set up so it didn't work that well. It was larger than the door frame. But try it. It's very ingenious
Kristen M: Yes, my cats have escaped, it is very flimsy and didn't sit flush with my door. I had to put a pull out screen at the bottom. bugs got in constantly. I would assume that its not safe for children. The bottom doesn't attach so it is pushed out easily and cats or kids could sneak out
Iris C: They probably could - it doesn't really latch to anything - I just use it in my greenhouse and it works great. My cat goes in and out, but it keeps the bugs and the humming birds,( who like the flowers inside) out.
Sarah C: My cat and son crawler were able to get out of it. But I ended up putting a baby gate on the inside part of my door which kept my son in. I ended up letting my cat just go outside and he then became and indoor/outdoor cat. The main problem with keeping the cat inside is that the corners of the door are not "latched".. So you can attach some sort of closure hooks and loops to keep it closed. I'm not sure if any of that made sense! But if you have anymore questions I can try to answer!
Shopper: Is this door worth buying? I would have to take it off every night and put it up when needed. Will it last?
Iris C: Mine is being used on my greenhouse to keep out bugs and birds and allows the air to move through. I have used it now a couple of years and am pretty rough on it- so it was a great buy in my case. You do not have to take it down nightly- it is attached by hardy velcro strips
Christie O: We love ours, and during nice weather, would put it up and down every day so - yes, it's worth it and yes, it will last!
Linda J: I would not recommend this door if you are going to be taking it down often. Otherwise, it serves it's purpose.
Wendi J: I like it a lot. It's perfect for letting a breeze into the house on cool evenings.
Kristen I: I put mine up at work and no one else liked it, it was taken down pretty quickly so I don't know it would have lasted. I don't know if it would be the right choice if you need to take it down every night though, it would be time consuming to get it lined up on the velcro.
Susan Z: hi, didn't work for me, too flimsy and my cat would have taken his claw and ripped it right down. I need a real screen door. The one in the picture here looks great, I don't know how they did it. : )
      Comment(s) about this item:
Diane L: To keep my roommate's cat out of my bedroom
Sheila A: I have a pet and this indoor screen door looks like it will be helpful in preventing my pet from roaming in the wrong places.
Iris C: It is the perfect item for my greenhouse door - so the air can flow, but keep birds and bugs out.
Sarah C: I live in an apartment and I like having my door open without bugs or flies coming in! This is definitely a very cheap and non-permanent version of a screen door when you cannot install a real one.
