I really like the size of the lap desk as well as the indents for storing my pens and flash drive. I guess that the storage pockets on the bottom could come in handy if you felt the need to bring the lap desk with you every where.
The only real down side for me is the lack of a non-slip area on the sides to keep my mouse and phone from sliding off. I had a different style from this same company that had the non-slip on the sides which worked great, but unfortunately that one was very poorly made and it cracked in half.
