Comments about Kathy Ireland Home - Desk - Tribeca Loft - TL680: We bought this desk about 1 year ago. [...]This is a VERY heavy desk. It is beautiful and sturdy. The main problem is that it is TOO SHORT!!! The total height is 29 inches. Then you have a keyboard tray that drops down from there a few inches. We bought a leather desk chair with arms, and it will not fit under the desk. We had to buy plastic risers to raise the desk to the appropriate height. But, the desk chair will still not fit. (It is just a normal size desk chair, nothing fancy) It looks really junky with the plastic risers under the desk legs. Obviously the company is aware of the problem because they sell the risers immediately below the desk advertisement (where they suggest other products). I am embarrassed for other people to see the desk with those goofy risers underneath. The desk also scratches and chips easily. It is wide and difficult to get through some doorways. Measure carefully before you buy it!!! It would only fit through certain doors in our home, so we were limited in places to put the desk. Otherwise, it is wonderful. It holds lots of stuff. It is sturdy and very pretty. We bought the 2 additional hutches to go on top and are very satisfied with them as well. The company needs to make the legs longer.. and they need a kit to add length to the legs that are on desks they have already sold.
