The one ceramic side features finer grit characteristics and the two diamond sides, one Coarse the other Fine, achieve keen polished edges. Finally, the three different radii complete this sharpening tool. The Coarse diamond (45 micron / 325 mesh) quickly restores a neglected edge, the Fine diamond (25 micron / 600 mesh) puts a razor sharp edge back into your knife while the Ceramic side (7 micron / 2200 mesh) achieves that polished edge you're looking for.
