Comments about Stacks and Stacks Ladder Shelf - 5 Shelf Bookcase: The only complaint I have is that it can slip down and fall on hardwood floors. There are little pads on the legs of the shelf that will not allow it to sit flush on the floor. Initially it slipped when I first set it up and I put double sided tape on the floor to secure. I thought it was stable and it was, for several hours. It sled off the tape and in the middle of the night and it sled out from the wall and a couple of my pieces fell. It was not stable until I removed the pad on the bottom and replaced with a rubberized textured pad with adhesive on the bottom. I haven't had a problem since. I have the same shelf that I purchased several years ago from another fendor and it doesn't have that plastic pad and I have never had a problem. Pros
