It takes two people to begin the assembly process, because the large sections that comprise the walls of the cabinet are difficult for one person to manage until the walls have been fitted into the base section. After that, the rest of the assembly can be done by one person.
My cabinet doesn't have the smooth, flush adjoining pieces that are shown in the picture. There are significant cracks between some sections of the cabinet. Since the doors do not hang evenly, the crack that runs between the top of the doors and the top of the cabinet is wider over the left door than over the right door. Also, the right door doesn't close in a flush manner - which makes the sliding security tabs at the top and bottom of that door difficult to use. The most disappointing thing is that, once the cabinet shelves were filled, the right side door would no longer open completely. The rotating joint inside the right door jamb is riding too high and gets stuck - which stops the door from opening further than about 9 inches. (I tried redistributing the weight on the shelves, but nothing improved the function of the right door.)
