I received a black lap desk. I guess I should have asked for black up front and I would have received pink. Now I have to worry about someone stealing it; no one would have stolen a pink lap desk. Great desk overall; comfy, computer fits well, and raised lip keeps the computer on the top where it belongs.

I really like these lap desks for my kids. They work well sitting on the couch or bed and even the car. I would like to see them with a slightly deeper pencil holder to keep their crayons from running amiss when in the car and it would be cool to have a cup holder but I know thats asking a lot considering the very reasonable price. Great product. Pleased!

Shopper: Can I choose the color I want?

Bradley S: You can choose the color, but apparently you may not get the color you choose. I ordered one of these in pink and was delivered one in black to a very disappointed daughter.

Geraldine F: When I purchased these I bought one in each color for my grand-kids. I don't remember if I could have picked just one color.

Laura C: No you can't...I tried requesting a color and the request was ignored. I received a color that I didn't like :-(

Tony B: Not at all. Kids and I use them frequently and the cloth bottom does not get sweaty.

Rita K: I'm not quite sure what you mean by getting hot. I do crossword puzzles, paint my nails, and pay bills using this lap desk. I own about 4 of them now and I love them. It is comfortable on your lap, and no, it doesn't get hot since there is airflow between the two pads on the bottom. It is totally comfortable and just the right size - not too little and not oversized. I LOVE mine and am so glad I found them to purchase.

Shopper: Is the surface nonstick or slick? I would like to use for playing solitaire, but wonder if the cards would slip.

Kevin W: It should work fine for that. The tray has just enough of a textured surface that it isn't slippery.

Natalie S: The surface is not slick. It is a good drawing, writing surface. It even has a tiny ridge around the whole desk that would be good for cards not shifting off. Hope this helps!
