I have not put the stair treads on my stairs yet but they came well packaged and I love the green color! They are the perfect size and since I am putting them in an entrance way on top of carpet stairs I want to clean them before I put the stair treads on. Thought a darker color would hide the dirt more. Awesome price for the quality that I can tell so far.

Bought these stair tread rugs to protect Southern Yellow Pine (softwood) stairs in the Vermont Log home we are building (future retirement home) from the traffic of 3 Labs. One is aging (12+ years), and panics going down stairs. The minute he hits the 1st wood step the nails pop out like switchblades in a Westside Story rumble. After hours of re-sanding and re-finishing the stairs, to remove the nail gouges, we bought these to help protect the stairs from future abuse. They look good, and seem easy to keep clean, but the rubberized backing doesn't keep them in place all the time. We are looking into double sided tape to help hold these in place, that won't affect the Polyurethane wood finish (we don't want to nail these in with the provided staple/nails, as that would limit removal for cleaning, and damage the stair tread with nail holes). I can't say if these will hold up over time or snag on the dog's nails and wear out. The dogs only visit the house once a month, so it may take time to really evaluate the product's preformance for the intended protection. But we do like the way they look on the stairs, and at Stack & Stack's price for these, how could we go wrong.

The stair treads [...] looked like they did on line. They are a great value for the price. The only downside is the smell. The stair treads have been out of the plastic for about 2 weeks now, but there is still a chemical smell. Hopefully, it will dissipate eventually.

We love our carpet treads. Our sheltie would not attempt using stairs until we taped these on! Work great and clean easily.
