I use this product over the door of a bedroom closet which is small and has very little shoe storage capacity. This works perfectly and is not bulky and stores a large quantity of shoes. I highly recommend it for over the door.

it's a little difficult to screw in the rod-connecting screws (i thought at first the holes were too small) but with a little elbow grease they'll eventually go in. other than that,i'm happy with it for the price. to bad i can't hold more shoes! can't comment on whether it's sturdy enough for heavy men's shoes, but it holds all my flats and heels (and few pairs of sneakers) withought exhibiting any stress.

We didn't hang this on a door, but instead attached it to a wall in the closet. A lot more effective use of it!

We bought this rack to go on the back of our daughter's door to help her learn to put her shoes away and so that we could see what shoes she had available.

My daughter loves the lower racks she can reach herself. i like the upper racks that I can use for her hats and shoes she hasn't grown into yet. It keeps us from using valuable closet shelf space with lots and lots of shoe boxes.

I'm getting tempted to buy 2 more of these racks for our closets- it's so much easier to grab a pair of shoes off the rack than to sort thru boxes or a rack on the floor!
