I bought the extra bar for the barrier as well as the barrier itself. Went together well. Does not rattle. It does what we wanted it to do.

I use this for a Toyota 4Runner and it works great. Does not leave marks on the roof. I would recommend getting the extension as the bars don't go down far enough.
