Comments about PEVA Frameless Suit Bag by Richards Homewares:

The size is perfect for the use I had intended (couldn't find size locally). Use to switch out summer/winter clothing to keep them clean and dust free. It fits easily in the closet space and leaves space below for further storage. Love it!

    Q & A

    Questions about this item:
Shopper: How did you get the bag over your closet hanging bar? And how much clearance is needed at the top? We have a terrible problem with stink bugs and need to protect all of our clothing thanks
Jackie L: The bag is actually open at the top, so all you do is put the top flap under, then over the bar and attach the Velcro strip. You only need about an inch or two over the bar. I love the way everything fits inside. Hope this helps!
Debra D: Hi Sydney. The bags have a sturdy plastic ring on both sides of the top with a slit in them that slides over your rod and stands 1 1/4 inch higher than the rod. The plastic rings are sturdy but can be tilted if your clearance is less than that. At the top of the garment bag is Velcro that runs all the way across the top left to right (so the top can be opened completely). Just open the Velcro slid the rings onto your rod and reseal the Velcro. The Velcro is of good quality and stays in place very well. The bags are doing a great job of keeping my spiders out so you should have good luck with your stink bugs-we have stink bugs here in Ohio too so I know how nasty they can be. Let me know if I can be of more help.
grace m: You dont need much space at the top at all. I bought the bag for my coats because my neighbors-above and below me SMOKE and my closet smells horrible. But since I bought this bag I dont have the problem of smelly coats anymore. Its great
Susan C: The bag slides under the closet rod, then velcro along the top seals it. There is a slit at each end which allows it to come up over the closet rod. Then you slide a round plastic piece that comes with it on the inside at each end. They also have a slit that makes it easy. The top clearence is about 1-1/2 inches. I really like the bag and it is easy to put up.
Celesta W: Hi, Sydney. I'm glad to answer your question. I had sort of wondered myself how it would work, but it turned out to be nice and simple. At the top of the bag, it's like there are two long "flaps", (parallel to your rod) connected with Velcro. All you do is position the bag so the back "flap" with the Velcro along its edge comes over the top of your rod, and meets/covers over the front "flap" with its matching Velcro edge. Once you get the Velcro pieces "connected", you then unzip the bag and insert the plastic discs at the right and left - to give the top part room to fit well over your hangers. These discs are 3 1/2 inches in diameter, with a 1 1/4 inch open center. There is a slit in the disc so you can twist it over your closet rod, and then position it at the far right or left of the inside of the bag. In my closet, the rods are about an inch in diameter and the shelf above the rod is about an inch above the rod, so there is just enough room for clearance when you insert the plastic disk. I'm really enjoying my bags. They are sturdy, the zippers are of good quality, and I can easily take hangers in and out, or remove the clothes from the hanger without removing the hanger. I hope this helps.
ELLEN P: We use our hanging bags on a couple chrome rolling clothing racks we ordered through a dept. store on line. Those fold up vertically when not in use. I am not sure if the zippers of the hanging bags are snug at the top enough to keep stink bugs totally out, but it is a start. Use masking tape at the top if you are not planning on going into the bags frequently. I put mothballs in the walk in closet & found dead stink bugs at the end of the season. (Look inside your shoes before putting in your foot.) If you smash them, not only do they stink, but you are marking that spot w/ pheromones where next year's hoard will be attracted to, to haunt you. We have learned that it is best & easy enough to catch each w/ a paper tissue & gently dump it, tissue on top, into the toilet & saluted as it swirls to a watery demise. We went from hundreds & hundreds last year to maybe fifteen total this year. Best wishes.
    Comment(s) about this item:
Sandra W: I have ordered th heavy duty bags before, I was concerned about the environmental toxins
Carol M: I need to use frameless bags to keep my clothes in because of dust allergies. This PEVA bag isn't smelly or stiff like the old ones. Is free from chlorine. "Clear Clean Green" I love it!
Susan C: I did some research, the customer reviews were good.
