My father, now in his 90th year, began living with us after my mother's death. Never before had I realized how simple, everyday movements became major, sometimes unaccomplished, challenges. One of the first positive comments Daddy had to say in a long time was about the open-end hanger! He "loves" them! Even before Daddy joined our household, I had purchased this type hanger just for my own convenience when dealing with my husband's slacks. He is 6'4" tall (mostly legs). Imagine the time spent trying to line-up the creases, keep the slacks smooth and straight and put them through standard hangers which are too small for his large, long limbs. No, don't even go there if you are going to suggest the hangers that hang the slacks from the cuffs. The closet poles aren't long enough; the slacks drag the closet floor. Also, those hangers are more difficult to manage than the old ones.

We've owned trouser hangers like these for years and my wife's closet would be totally impacted without them. Now that I've found these on the net, I'll probably replace all of my wooden clamp hangers because these take up so much less room in the closet. They're also good for hanging up "line dry" items when the weather is bad outside as the plastic prevents any chance of rusting/staining. Verrrrry useful!
