Purchased this for my son who was moving into a room-in-an-apartment that started life as an office rather than a bedroom--and thus had no closet. This rack turned out to be the perfect way to solve that problem! It's heavy-duty enough to hold all his hanging clothes, plus shoes/boots on the bottom shelf and a basket of sheets/towels on the above-rack shelf. We've all been really impressed with the item.
