This convenient foldaway ironing board is ready to pop out anytime you need to iron - then easily hides away in its own sleek wall-mounted cabinet. The Ironing Center requires no opening in the wall, installs in minutes (attaches to one stud), and comes fully assembled and ready for installation. Concealed inside the compact cabinet, the flip-down wooden ironing board is a full 42 inches long and includes a silicone-treated cover and thick cotton pad. Cabinets are available in oak veneer (paneled door) and unfinished birch veneer (flat door) - can be painted to match your decor. The frame is solid wood. I purchased this item to keep my Mother from having to lug an ironing board out of a closet. It was installed in her bed room out of the way. Now when she wants something ironed it is just a matter of opening the cabinet door and folding down the board. On thing she noticed is that it should air dry before folding it back into the cabinet to prevent a musty smell.
