We have a lot of dress clothes that cannot go into a dryer so the large size of this rack gives us plenty of space to hang everything at once. And the flat rack space on top is very useful as well. Now that we have it, we dry some regular loads on it too, to save on electricity costs! It's huge when unfolded, but compacts to fit between the washer and the wall for storage.

Good product, holds a lot of clothes. I love being able to load the rack while watching the Red Sox at night and then carrying the rack loaded outside in the morning to finish drying while I am away at work. Saved $50 in electricity in the first month.
Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:
Very sturdy, allows more hanging room than I expected and really pleased with it.
Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:
Use it to dry all sorts of items I don't want to put in the dryer especially swim suits. I use it in the garage and keep it up all the time. Cold weather I set it up in the bathtub to dry items. Couldn't be without it. Use it everyday!!
Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:
Tree fell and knocked down regular clothesline. Gave me a great reason to buy this rack, which I had wanted for over a year. Easy to open, easy to use, easy to close.

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:
I use this rack in place of a dryer to save on utilities. It is great to have if you don't have a place to hang laundry outdoors. Also I like to support American-made products and this is made here in New England. Great workmanship and value, too. Shipping was prompt and the item was well-packaged.

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:
We use this drying rack every day for everything from cloth diapers to household laundry. The capacity is amazing--it can hold a full load of laundry on it and have it dry within 12 hours. It even folds easily if we need the extra space in the room--with the laundry still hanging on it!

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:
I can hang over a load of laundry on the drying rack. I put it in front of my heater to make the heater do double duty, instead of running the dryer. You might think that the jeans would be rather stiff, but put them one for two seconds and they are fine. The added benefit of the moisture in the house is good too in the winter here in the northeast.

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:
I place this rack over a floor vent for the heat/air system in our bedroom. I do not open the rack completely. To maximize the amount of items I can put on the rack, I fold pants and large items once when placing on rack. I can put almost two large wash loads on the rack at once. Items will dry in approx 30 hours. This rack is well built. I have a smaller rack in our guest room that I use for overflow - but it not as sturdy as this one. I do 5-6 loads of wash per week. Since getting my racks two months ago, I have not used my clothes dryer one time!

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:
I can dry a full load of clothes on this rack. I'm so happy to be able to dry clothes "off the grid" without having to tramp through snow to the clothesline!

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:
I was surprised it could actually hold more than a full load of laundry. It is easy to move around to get more sun. Really can fold it loaded if necessary. One pole sightly rough, all the rest perfect. Pretty lightweight.

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:
My daughter came back from a living in France for a year and told me that her host family rarely used the dryer, they always lined dried their clothes because of it's economical, practical impact, as well as it's better on the clothing itself. Fabrics and colors last longer if it's not destroyed by high heat. She insisted that we give it a try, so I went online to check out various drying racks. I wanted large capacity, lightweight, durable, and with excellent craftsmenship. I'm very pleased with this model and am impressed how much drying space I get - 56 feet! It's lightweight and can be easily moved, even with clothes on it. Though the dowels are sanded, you may want to lightly go over it once just to avoid any snags. Otherwise, we're very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it. If you have limited space (e.g. dorm room, small laundry room), you should look for a diffent model as this is not compact. This drying rack works better in an open space, deck or patio, or spare room.

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:
I use it on my deck. It is easily stored, moved and set up. It's well made. Really looks better than a permanent clothesline. More environmentally responsible than always using the dryer. Have not used it indoors yet - mostly because it's almost summer here in CT

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:
Even when it looks flimsy, this product is quite strong and well constructed. However, despite the 56 feet of drying space, I found it quite small. The lower horizontal pieces are more for strengthening the rack than for drying anything but male or children socks or other small items. The rest is very good but insufficient for the average number of clothing many people need to dry. I believe this rack would be more efficient if it were one foot taller and one foot wider.
