Though this product made my clothes softer and fluffier, it did not reduce the drying time of my clothes. I will surely continue to use this product as an alternative to dryer sheets but I will not expect or recommend them to reduce drying time.

What a great little product! The dryer balls do exactly as the description says. Saves energy and money on fabric softerners!

I always stick them in the dryer but haven't noticed any difference. I'm too lazy to do comparative testing with regards to dry timing and static cling tests. I thought they would be good because of less chemicals in the cloths versus dryer sheets. I was concerned of the plastic melting but so far the balls have retained their shape.

Bought these not too long ago. I use them all of the time. They do a great job on towels, men's under clothing, permanent press clothing, cleaning rags (not microfiber, Never soften those), etc. I find the drying time is a little less, the clothes do not tangle and they smell nice and clean. Best of all---no chemicals. If you have clothes with a lot of static cling, then you can throw in maybe half a dryer sheet to reduce that problem. I love these "little guys". Recommend them to all and especially chemically sensitive folks.

You are not supposed to use dryer sheets or fabric softners on baby clothes because it reduces flame-retardance and they may irritate a baby's skin. These dryer balls have been great for softening my baby's clothes without chemicals. No, they don't do squat for static cling. I didn't notice a change in drying time. And in a load of adult clothes, they usually end up stuck in a sleeve. But for a load of little baby items where they can tumble freely, they do a great job of softening.

These dryer balls work well. Since I have to go to a laundromat, the reduced drying time saves me money. Also the clothes are softer, so I use less fabric softener.

I like to wear Carhartt pants for work. Problem is, they're made of heavy cotton and they usually come out of the dryer all wadded up, creased and wrinkled. I saw these highlighted on TV and thought, "What the heck?" I washed a load of Carhartt pants and dried them using four dryer balls (it's recommended you use more balls for larger loads.) And the verdict is... they work, sort of, kind of. They came out of the dryer creased a bit (so the balls don't do all the work for you) but the balls seemed to pound them into submission and softened them just enough that with a little "hand pressing" they look a whole lot better than before. I'll bet they work real well on softer/lighter clothes.
