Some people make fun of my "wall of shoes," but these shelves have been extremely handy for getting all the shoes up off the floor of the closet. They're easy to put together and each shelf holds four or five pairs of shoes easily (depending on the size and type of shoe). They also won't break your wallet!
The price is excellent, and I really like the look of the natural wood, and it's easy to put together~no tools required! I wouldn't use this as a shoerack because the columns going through the shelves to hold it together get in the way and it ends up only holding 5 pairs of shoes..and plus it's a no no for any shoes with heels because the heels fall right through the spaces. This is great for extra shelves around the house though..I use it for plants on the top and I put books and other loose things around the house on the second shelf.
A bit tight fitting them together, but they turned out to be a wonderful display rack for various items.
i am not a fan of those shoe racks that are flimsy and plastic-y (and look like shoe racks)but no one wants to spend too much money on something just for shoes so this shelf-like shoe rack was ideal. it sits outside our door and organizes shoes without making it look too tacky. really easy to assemble and plenty of space under the 1st shelf for more shoes on the floor. my husband complains it's flimsy and it probably is for anything more than shoes and clothes. you can probably put screws in it if you are using it for something else (which makes a wood shelf so much more versatile than a dedicated plastic shoe rack). but i like it.
