This was a replacement for a previous unit. It was of higher quality. A man's ties is usually the only variety he has in his workday clothes. So, having 64 of them gives him lots of choices. This unit contains and displays them in a limited closet space.

Screws on top require more clearance that I had. I had to cut the threaded portion down and I cut them too short so I don't get a good fix on the bar. As the saying goes: "measure twice, cut once", my fault.

I had to get a couple of washers to make it to adapt to my type of closet rack (it's designed for a pole type holder) but it works great. It makes it easier to find a tie on Sunday Mornings before church. I don't use the belt part. You have to dig between the ties to find the belt. I should have ordered a larger one. I think I just might order another one later.

I use to hang all of my ties over a coat hanger and it would be hard to find the one I was looking for or they would fall on the closet floor. Now, with just a push of a button, I can locate the right tie and not have to wrestle with the other ties or dig around on the floor

Cheap design that does not work properly. On and off switch only works some time, and only after taking some of the item apart and jiggling the connection. Too expensive for what you get.

There are better made tie storage machines available. I assumed that this one would be comparable, but its construction is significantly worse than others.

I was pleased when I recieved this product, but that was the happiest that I got. It was all down hill from there. The idea is great but if a product can't support the weight of 60 ties it shouldn't have that many spaces for all of them. Within a week of recieving this product it buckled under the weight, quite literally. In conclusion I would never recommend this product to anyone, it is a waste of money.

Had a different model previously and loved it. This one has two screws on tip to secure it, but when it is tightened to prevent it from turning on the pole, the plastic clips very easily strain. This causes the separation of the unit from the hanger, making the tie rack fall to the ground, tossing the ties around on the floor.

This Tie organizer is WNODERFUL. This is the first time in years I have not had to dig through a basket to find a tie for the day. It installs in minutes and works perfectly.

Just installed it. The motor is quiet, but so slow that I have to wait about 60 seconds for the rack to complete one revolution. My old one (just broke after 6 years) revolved in 15 seconds.
Also, don't overtighten locking screws or plastic case will crack. Also, the light is a bit dim (I'm going to see if I can replace with brighter bulb from my old one). Good news: If you don't use the belt attachments, you can store 72 ties in a sleek, compact unit.

3 weeks after I purchased mine, the cheap gears inside the motor broke and the ties no longer revolved.

This product is made of cheap plastic and the metal screws do not allow it to sit straigt and tight against the pole in your closet. While trying to tighten it, it BROKE before I could even use it!

I actually own two of these tie racks and one has completely stopped working. At first, I thought it might just be the batteries, however, after putting in two new sets of batteries I have learned that it is likely the motor that is not working properly. I now have to pull the thing around manually, which clearly defeats the purpose of having a motorized tie rack in the first place.

I bought this tie rack for my son for Christmas. It works as advertised---we put it on a metal rod and had some trouble keeping it straight. One of the knobs cracked when we tried to tighten it too much (our fault). It's slow but we don't see any reason for it to be any faster. Overall, compared to other similar racks, the price of this one is much more reasonable.

I bought this for my husband since he's never happy with the tie storage issue. He loves it! It holds all of his ties with some room for more. The light and motorized action is kind of fun. The mounting on the closet bar is a snap, you just open the gripper and turn a knob to tighten it. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the grip on the closet bar is not vice-grip tight; there is some "give" as it's used. The little "arms" holding each tie have a curve on the end, so it's almost impossible for ties to slip off. The arms are well spaced, so ties are easy to take off the rack and replace after use. Overall, we're happy with this solution for tie storage since it takes up very little space in the closet and is easy to use.
