Comments about Stacks and Stacks Bookcase-Walnut Finish and Rattan - 3 Shelves:

Great except that the shelves themselves are flimsy and I think they might break if I put more than 8lbs on a shelf. They could beef up the shelves just a bit, for little extra cost, then it would rock my socks off!

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Bookcase-Walnut Finish and Rattan - 3 Shelves:

This is a great bookcase. Yes, the shelves are not very deep, but it looks great and does hold a lot of books. If you are looking for a stylish bookcase, but do not have 100's of books to store on it, it is the bookcase for you.

Looks Good; Limited Functionality;
By Crystal from VA on 12/16/2006

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Bookcase-Walnut Finish and Rattan - 3 Shelves:

This bookshelf definitely looks good. I am not sure that it is meant to be used as a bookshelf.
As a bookshelf it has limited functionality. Cannot put in any book over 8.5 inches high.
More importantly, the acutal shelves are rather thin, and rest only on the front edge. Support on the back or side or sturdier shelves would make it a lot more usable as a bookshelf.

I bought it because I am in a small apartment and it would fit under the bar, and not protrude too much into the passage. It does that well. I have kept books in it, but pushed them to the front, so they rest on the front cross-pieces to reduce the load on the shelf.
