I bought 2 for my living room and loved them so much I bought 2 more for our basement living area. They are great for storage, a table, footrest or extra seat. They come in quite a variety of colors. We have had no spills so I can't say how the fabric cleans up. Right now I use a vacuum once in a while to suck up dust. I was happy when I found out our glasses don't leave ring marks on the wood if we forget a coaster.
