This a large, simple, pretty bookshelf with convenient doors and drawers, but it really leaves a lot to be desired. It is advertised as "solid wood". If the cheap veneer and filling used to make this shelf are "solid wood", then the trees in my backyard are made from sawdust! Also, the finish is poor. It looks, feels, and smells as if this piece was stained with shoe polish; not stain and poly as I expected. But it looks nice at a glance, and it will work for light-to-medium shelving purposes.
