I put them in our upright freezer with an end facing me, just the right depth. Can easily remove from freezer making it easy to see what is in it.

I used this project in my closet for small clothing items. I thought I was buying the wire baskets to hang on the pantry door for potato chips.

I bought this to hold random little packages of things in my cabinets. The openings in the wire grid are pretty big, though, so some things like those vacuum-packet coffee samplers that are narrow and about 6" tall, want to slip through. It really is for bigger packets of things.

I grew up with a huge chest freezer in the house, and I dreaded having to get anything out of it that wasn't on the very top. That's the reason it took me so long to get a chest freezer of my own, but with 3 teens it became a necessity. These baskets take the dread out of finding something at the bottom of the freezer, and even make defrosting easier.

I have a 7 cu. ft. Avanti chest freezer, with 2 small side baskets. The main cavity is 17" x 19" x 27" deep, and six of the Deep Baskets With Handles fit perfectly in three layers of two, with a enough space around them that they don't get frozen into place if the frost builts up. Nothing is loose in the bottom of the freezer that needs to be pried off when it's time to defrost, and I can even put the baskets right into my bigger coolers, food and all, to keep cold while I defrost the chest freezer.

The only drawback I can find is that they come packaged singly - it would be nice for multiple orders if they could be re-packaged stacked together to save shipping costs and to cut back on packing materials and the space they take up in the truck.

These baskets allowed me to almost double the number of items in my freezer and still be able to find everything. They naturally keep "like" things together. I liked them so well in my upright that I ordered several to try in my chest type--I will stack them cross-hatched and still be able to get to something on the bottom easily and without unloading items one at a time. Just lift out the baskets; set them aside; get what you want; replace the baskets. Easy. Hurray!

These are the perfect size for 4 across on the shelves of my upright freezer. For the first time EVER (about 15 years) I can find what I am looking for in this freezer. I ordered more for my chest freezer and I am actually looking forward to defrosting it and getting it set up, too.

This storage basket is well-made and is perfectly suited for my need to organize the freezer space in an older refrigerator/freezer appliance. The product size specifications were very helpful in determining the correct product to fit my needs within the size and space of my freezer. While I may have lost a small amount of total freezer capacity (cramming everything into a single freezer space vs. using baskets), I have found it much easier to organize and find what I have on hand. As a result of this improved organization, I have found it much easier to determine what frozen food items I need to replenish when grocery shopping (i.e. staples such as frozen vegetables and meats).
