Bought as a lap table but item won't fit between arms of glider chair I sit in while watching TV. Also at 5'6", have a short lap and the lap table hangs 3 to 4 inches out past my knees which is not a comfortable fit. Need different size for shorter people that sit in smaller chairs.

Ad stated 23". It only has 18" usable space. Whole thing is 22" not 23". I assumed the 23" meant USABLE space. I needed it for a 17" keyboard and a mouse. Only the keyboard fits.[...]

Love this Lap desk, I use it all the time while we are traveling in our RV! Has a nice sturdy surface and a big lip all around the desk so nothing slides off. Its also very light and not heavy on your Lap.

I got this for my dad who is in a power wheelchair. It has become a permanent fixture on his lap. He uses it for everything. The padded bumpers around the edges are great for keeping things on it. He says its comfortable and good for everything from eating to using a computer. I think it looks a little bulky, but it's well worth it for his happiness.

Bought for my 88 year-old mother who lives alone and eats while watching t.v. She also makes quilts, and uses the Lapp Topper for applique work. This is her second one--she wore the first one out by daily use for 6 or 7 years. Great product!

I'm a telecommuter and this lapdesk fits the bill! It's large enough for a full size laptop and an external mouse! The best feature is the padded lip that goes all the way around; keeps things like your mouse from sliding off and soft for your arms to rest on. Thought at first the padding underneath was a bit inadequate, but now feel it puts my laptop at just the right height on my lap (anymore and it would have been too high). The pocket on the side is nice for things you need to keep close by yet out of the way. Just what I was looking for!

Ideal for the reason I wanted it.I wanted the laptop on my lap but would give myself neck ache, maybe because of my bi-focals I don't know.I've taken the cup holder out and the slip mat works as well.The space at the side is where I keep my ear-plugs so I don't need to hunt for them.Oh and of course the laptop doesn't overheat on my knee either.

This laptop desk is perfect in every way. My 17in widescreen laptop fits perfectly. No worries about it sliding off and the beads in the bottom make it position perfectly . I do a lot of crafting, and like to do it while watching t.v. in the evenings. More often than not, I would wind up sitting on the floor in front of the coffee table, so that I had a solid surface to bead or paint on. Sitting on the floor is a killer for my back. This lap topper is an awesome alternative. Not only can I sit on the couch and do my crafts a lot more comfortably, but because of the bean bag bottom, I can also sit indian style, which is how I usually sit most of the time. Even the cup holder is perfect and fits my huge coffee cup like it was made for it. I love this thing, and am so glad that I bought it. I have no doubt that I will be purchasing more of them, for the rest of the family.

I bought this lapdesk for my fiance. He normally leaves his laptop on the coffee table and contorts his body to face the screen. He doesn't like to keep the laptop on his lap because it gets too hot!The lap topper is the perfect lapdesk. The cushioned bottom makes it super comfortable and soft on your lap. The plastic of the desk is not flimsy or cheap, so it doesn't heat up from your laptop. In fact, I find the laptops stay cooler on this lapdesk than on the regular desk. My laptop is a 15" and his is a 17" and both fit nicely on the surface. (For the 17" you just need to remove the cupholder.)There is a nice lip around the edge of the desk so no matter what angle you sit there is no slippage. The desk top and cup holder EASILY remove for cleaning. The product is well constructed of good materials. I would highly recommend it.[...]

I used this product after surgery. It helped at mealtimes and did not tip over. Also use for laptop and it provides stability and enough room for incidentals.

After much research, I ordered this lap desk. I use it for writing, eating and crafting while sitting in my recliner. The base is soft and fits nicely in your lap, the cupholder is great, and the additional waffle topper is easily removed for writing, etc. It wipes clean and is very light. I am very happy with this product.

Product does what it claims.Holds laptop and a drink. Just seems a bit small.(I have a large laptop, though.The 8 inch pocket is kinda creepy- don't want to stick my hand in it! Also, it isn't that attractive.

WE use the trays to eat dinner when watching TV. They are lightweight, a comfortable size and work well for the purpose. We have not yet used them for other activities, but I can see how they would be easily adapted for other purposes. A little bulky when not in use, but not sure how one could resolve that.

The buffer edges and removable mat are excellent for extra work space and/or eating. Love the 'lefty' cupholder! I have a mobility problem and this product eases several little glitches for me. I use it tabletop beside my chair and laptop when needed. Only problem, bottom pellets tend to shift and tilt but will shake into place.

These are terrific and I have no problem handing them to guests because of their style and quality. Users might want to remember this is lap table; subject to user's movements. Therefore, its a good idea to pay attention to beverages when moving about to avoid spillage. The cup holders work best for smaller, shorter drink containers.

I acquired several as a gift. They stack nicely and are very easy to clean.

I use this in bed all the time and it's been great. I don't feel the heat from my laptop and it's quite comfy. I have not yet used the drink holder but think it's great that it's there. Also, I used this in the minivan when my family and I went took a road trip and it was also comfy to use on the road. Great product at a decent price.

I bought one of these years ago and have used it every night since to do that American thing - eat in front of the TV. I recently bought another one for my husband, who now needed a surface for eating after we changed up our TV room furniture. He also loves it and uses his for reading and writing after dinner is over. I can't think of one thing that would improve this product.

This product meets my needs for a lap desk and has a large writing surface for my use. The pocket would work better, I think, if it were a zipper one on the outside as opposed to pouch in the cushion part of the desk.

I use this lap desk almost every day. Yeah, the foam beads move to one side occasionally, but you just use your hand and smush them around to where you want them. It is the perfect size for my laptop computer with room left over to the side for a regular mouse. I usually have a soda in the drink slot and it never spills. I've had mine for a year, and it's still going strong!

Just got it today, it is ok, this is not for a 17 inch laptop, cup holder usless, not at all like I thought it would be, expensive for as cheaply it is made, I have to becarefull where I plug adapters in at, overall one should do more research before buying this item

I've been using this lap desk for at least a year and it has worked out well. My laptop heats up and is not comfortable without this desk. It's basciall a bag filled with styrofaom beads with a removable plastic desk top that can be wiped off or put in a dishwasher. I have one of the wider laptops and there is still a good 6 inches of room to one side. The cup holder is wide and really doesn't secure most cups. It does perfectly hold a beer in a koozie, which is pretty cool.
