It is just what I wanted. I use it to put the many dress up clothes in it my 6 year old has. The kids are able to sit on it also. It is sturdy, yet looks great in our family room. I am sure we will use it for years and for something else later.

I agree that the color is not as dark in person. However, the trunk is roomy and attractive.
