Comments about Prepac Grand Locking Media Cabinet by Prepac:

I had this thing laid out in my living room and assembled in about an hour and a half I think (Been awhile). I have a couple of issues with it. The locking mechanism is flimsy at best. It does keep the door shut which is good but just barely. The latch for the other door worked great. I had to use two "L" brackets to fasten the unit to the wall to avoid it tipping over. I live in Florida and the floors are not perfectly level anywhere. And although the unit is relatively steady I found the doors to want to swing open wildly and without the brackets and it just felt unsafe. As it stands now with the brackets the doors will not stay open by themselves, but the unit is flush against the wall which was more important and it feels safer. The other major issue I had was with the back which is made from cardboard. The instructions say to place the nails every 2". Well, I started off that way and quickly ran out of nails that were supplied and had to use many of my own to finish that way. Overall though the unit is decent. It holds quite a few DVDs for me and looks attractive.

I love the Grande locking media cabinet. The product did not have all of the correct size screws though so others had to be found for it.
