Comments about Stacks and Stacks Architectural Elements 36" Floating Wall Shelf:

These little life savers enabled me to get my basement and bedrooms finished. Comparible shelves are $50 each but these little babies are a great value and saved me tons of money. I put them in by myself with minimal effort...had 10 hung in an hour! Highly recommend them, I do wish they had more color choices, but I'm not complaining.

wanted space saving shelves for bedroom makeover and these work great! easy installment and look beautiful. only complaint is that one shelf had several nicks in the wood on the edging sides, but not worth the troubles of packaging and sending back.

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Architectural Elements 36" Floating Wall Shelf:

The shelves are pretty, but once we installed them, the metal brackets were flimsy. I kept them in my sons room, but items started sliding/falling off with every closing of the door. Def. will not purchase these again.

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Architectural Elements 36" Floating Wall Shelf:

The shelves are beautiful, but unfortunately the four I ordered are not the same shade. Two match, and one is quite a bit darker and one slightly lighter. The brace mechanism that holds them was easy to install on one of the four shelves we bought. The other three either do not hold the shelf level or the shelf does not feel stable enough to hold breakable items. With one shelf, we could fix the problem by using larger, stronger wall anchors than those provided in the kit.

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Architectural Elements 36" Floating Wall Shelf:

Looks great, but very difficult to install the 36 in length flush with the wall because there are not screw holes to hold the bracket tight, and even when heavy duty anchors (extra cost) are used to accomplish this, the hardware that holds the shelf to the mounting bracket is so flimsy that 2 of the 5 units I bought tilt so much they are unusable. This shelf should not be used for more than 5-10 lbs of weight. The 48 in length has more mounting screws and does not suffer these problems. Would never buy again or recommend to anyone.

Good, but not Great
By New MomVerified Purchaser from Atlanta, GA on 4/22/2008
Pros:
Attractive Design, Wide Enough Shelves
Cons:
Cheap hardware included, Flimsy
Best Uses:
Decorative, Photos and Knick Knacks
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Architectural Elements 36" Floating Wall Shelf:

First, I had to go to Home Depot and buy replacement hardware because the hardware included was cheap and didn't install well. Second, I am still concerned (even though the hardward that I bought says that it will hold up to 75 lbs) that the shelves may come down. The one still looks like it's hanging off the wall a bit. They do not install flush to the wall as anyone would obviously hope.
