We used to lay our place-mats on top of our serving dishes which made it a pain to get our serving dishes in and out when we had company. When I saw the under-the shelf place-mat and tray holder I wondered if it was worth the money. It was very easy to use. We slid it on the shelf of our server under the hutch and it holds all of our place-mats neatly which now hover above all of our serving dishes. It's very convenient to have this. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
