I was afraid the cups might fall off in an earthquake. The hooks are not curved at the end. The first two cups have to be placed on carefully to make them stack up, then the rest go on easily.

The rack works for my good china, but not my everyday cups. I would suggest an over-the-shelf cupholder for anything but traditional teacups. Perhaps the rack cupholders should be redesigned.
