I have a dog so I am always concern when I am at work my dog will get into the kitchen trash can and go through the garbage. With this product I know that will not happen. I love the fact that I do not have to step on a pedal or lift open a lid, all I do is hover over it with whatever I need to toss and the lid just opens. I have a very small kitchen and this trash can takes up very little space. So far the batteries are holding up fine. I would recommend this product highly.
