I was tired of the suction-cup caddies and thought this one would be the solution! When it arrived, we found that it fits sink rims 1 1/2 inches or less in width. Ours is 1 3/4 inches at the thinnest point. It is definitely quality construction though -- we were unable to bend it out to fit our sink!
