There are burgundy (standard) bottles, and there are Pinot (fat) bottles, and there are oversize pinot bottles (nearly magnum sized). If you don't hammer the pegs (using a rubber mallet) ALL the way into the very solid anchor pieces, you will easily be able to handle the first two sizes securely. I used a cheap "champagne" bottle to check sizing after assembly and had to loosen in many places. Once complete, all my pinot noirs fit neatly, securely and easily. Oversize bottles will go on TOP of the unit, also securely.

Modular, makes efficient use of space while storing the new "fat" bottles, very good looking with the prefinish. Took a long time to complete the installation, but the modularity more than makes up for it.

I love tinker toys.

It's inexpensive. It can be assembled in minutes a variety of different ways to accomodate whatever space you have available and it is attractive. I just ordered a second one.
