High quality, well-made drying rack! They STILL make 'em like they use to, right here in the USA! MADE IN MAINE. Smooth and sturdy. Got that fresh-wood scent all throughout the room when I unpacked this thing! Very pleased with my purchase - this drying rack will last forever, even with the cat using it as a jungle gym!

I am so pleased with this wooden clothing rack. Its more than I could have asked for. It does hold a full load of clothes! I just found out that my daughter can't have her clothes line dried (due to tree pollen allergies) so this is going to be perfect to use inside.

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:

Now that I have used this rack for over 6 months, I can honestly say this is the best purchase I have made in a long time. I bought this based on the reviews and I am not disappointed. It holds a FULL load (Super Sized) of clothes and they ALL fit on this rack. I never put a t-shirt into a dryer. This holds 20 of my husband's XL T and Polo shirts. WOW! This has replaced three of the drying racks I had before so it has freed up so much space in my garage.

I searched many stores looking for a drying rack with enough space to hold all the laundry for my family of 6. Finally, my wife suggested to search the internet, where I found Stacks and Stacks. Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:

As soon as the rack came, I assembled it with ease and started using it. When they said 56 feet, I have no trouble believing that. It was easy to hang clothes on and useful just draping large items across. The price was well worth it and the rack was sturdy enough after putting it together. I'm anxious to try it outside when the weather warms up.

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:

Just a simple, convenient and useful rack. I always had one of those small wooden folding rack that wouldn't hold much. With this rack, you can literally put a whole wash load on it. In the summer, I put it on the deck. Great for all those new materials that can't go in the dryer.

The only problem I have is that the top rack that's supposed to lay flat for sweaters won't stay flat--doesn't stay in the slots that are supposed to keep it stationary. Otherwise, great rack with incredible amount of drying space!

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:

I use this product at least twice a week. It is large enough to hold an entire load of laundry except bed linens. It certainly beats having a large electric bill for drying clothes when you don't have a clothesline. As I said, I would love to have something similar that was wide enough to hold queen size sheets.

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:

I heard good and bad reviews on this product. Gotta say---I'm completely pleased with the dryer and I love it! It has already saved us a lot of money by not having to use our electric dryer. Our clothes smell great and are going to last much longer by not being in the dryer. The price was definitely a bargain. The dryer is light-weight and stores in a small area. Because it folds out so large, it does not blow over---even with high winds. You can put an outrageous amount of clothing on this product. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Had purchased a metal one which lasted one load of laundry before collapsing, this wooden one is well made and was very safely packaged, it is holding up perfectly and I am delighted with it even at the high cost it was worth it and it seems to be made to last and I rarely use the dryer (family of five) and do lots of laundry.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. We unpacked it just this past weekend. She and I both were impressed at the ease of unpacking it and the quality of the drying rack. Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:

We have a lot of dress clothes that cannot go into a dryer so the large size of this rack gives us plenty of space to hang everything at once. And the flat rack space on top is very useful as well. Now that we have it, we dry some regular loads on it too, to save on electricity costs! It's huge when unfolded, but compacts to fit between the washer and the wall for storage.

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:

I can hang over a load of laundry on the drying rack. I put it in front of my heater to make the heater do double duty, instead of running the dryer. You might think that the jeans would be rather stiff, but put them one for two seconds and they are fine. The added benefit of the moisture in the house is good too in the winter here in the northeast.

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:

I place this rack over a floor vent for the heat/air system in our bedroom. I do not open the rack completely. To maximize the amount of items I can put on the rack, I fold pants and large items once when placing on rack. I can put almost two large wash loads on the rack at once. Items will dry in approx 30 hours. This rack is well built. I have a smaller rack in our guest room that I use for overflow - but it not as sturdy as this one. I do 5-6 loads of wash per week. Since getting my racks two months ago, I have not used my clothes dryer one time!

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:

My daughter came back from a living in France for a year and told me that her host family rarely used the dryer, they always lined dried their clothes because of it's economical, practical impact, as well as it's better on the clothing itself. Fabrics and colors last longer if it's not destroyed by high heat. She insisted that we give it a try, so I went online to check out various drying racks. I wanted large capacity, lightweight, durable, and with excellent craftsmenship. I'm very pleased with this model and am impressed how much drying space I get - 56 feet! It's lightweight and can be easily moved, even with clothes on it. Though the dowels are sanded, you may want to lightly go over it once just to avoid any snags. Otherwise, we're very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it. If you have limited space (e.g. dorm room, small laundry room), you should look for a diffent model as this is not compact. This drying rack works better in an open space, deck or patio, or spare room.

Even when it looks ...
By Carlos M. from Undisclosed on 7/12/2006

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Wooden Drying Rack:

Even when it looks flimsy, this product is quite strong and well constructed. However, despite the 56 feet of drying space, I found it quite small. The lower horizontal pieces are more for strengthening the rack than for drying anything but male or children socks or other small items. The rest is very good but insufficient for the average number of clothing many people need to dry. I believe this rack would be more efficient if it were one foot taller and one foot wider.
